Insmart Remote Assistance

The Insmart remote assistance software uses VNC to establish an outgoing remote connection to Insmart support staff.

As long as outgoing connections are allowed the user network system does not require any intervention or modification.

Outgoing remote assistance must be initiated by the client so the client has total control of remote access at all times.

Downloading
Choose the exe or zip format for downloading.

Installation
Save InsmartRemAssistance.exe to "Downloads", "My Documents", the Desktop or anywhere else. The installation process can be started by selecting the InsmartRemAssistance.exe file. Double click the left mouse button on the icon.

Follow the install prompts and select a folder under "program files" to install the software.
 

Administration Rights
The install process requires administration rights to install a Control Panel - Add/Remove entry.

Installing Without Administration Rights
Even without administration rights the software can usually perform a partial install depending on the rights granted to the logged in user.

Malicious Code Guarantee
Insmart is an ethical company with a proud reputation. Our clients expect, and Insmart guarantees that at the time of software manufacture (compilation) the software is virus free and does not contain malicious code.
 

Firewall and Networking
Remote access is outgoing only. This means the client must initiate remote access to Insmart. No-one is able to connect in.

If the network has a firewall the following outgoing ports may need to be enabled. Ports 54238, 58132. Ports valid March 2024 and may occassionally change.
