Connecting Sensors

Sensors are added by simply "chaining" additional sensors in parallel to other sensors already connected to the network.
Temperature Alerts
Up to 4 different mobile telephone numbers may receive a SMS temperature alert.
To send SMS temperature alerts you will need to subscribe to an on-line SMS service.
The service must accept an E-mail containing a SMS text message and send the contents of the E-mail as a text message over the telephone network.
Subscribing to this service is a straight forward process. Some providers let you simply pay in advance for a specific number of messages.
The Rafter software must be given a user name and password to an SMTP mail server that it can use to send an e-mail with.
When a temperature alarm is raised the Rafter software will send an e-mail to the SMS provider who accepts the e-mail and performs the delivery of the text message.
A roster is used to select who will receive a temperature alert depending upon the day of the week and the hour of the day.
Each day of the week is broken up into 12 two hour slots. For each slot up to 4 different numbers can be selected for notification.

DB9 Communication Port - Only for connecting alarm inputs to the computer when alarm inputs are required.
